Undiscovered Worlds

Do Earth-like planets exist elsewhere in the universe? Travel to distant stars and fly up close to exotic planets. Experience the science shifting our perspective on humanity’s place in the cosmos.

Humans have long imagined exotic and intriguing worlds beyond our solar system. However, in recent years, science fiction has become science reality. Undiscovered Worlds reveals the methods used by astronomers to identify these alien wanderers, and explores the idea of what it means to be in a habitable zone around a star.

Recommended for: Ages 12+ | Length: 27 minutes

McAuliffe Center Open House

Undiscovered Worlds will be followed by a McAuliffe Center open house!

Unfortunately, the weather is not going to cooperate for stargazing outside on Friday night. But, stay after the planetarium program to learn about telescopes, connect with a NASA Solar System Ambassador, explore the lifesize Neil Armstrong Apollo 11 spacesuit replica, and use the Observing With NASA kiosk!

Open house activities are appropriate for all ages, free, and no ticket purchase is necessary.

Parking

Parking for Planetarium events is available in the Maynard Road or Salem End Road Parking Lots. Once parked, follow the signs to the McAuliffe Center and FSU Planetarium.
